Prayer

"Ministry without prayer becomes work in the power of the flesh.

Prayer without ministry is complacent Christianity"

-Alvin J. Vander Griend

Purpose of Trinity's Prayer Ministry:
To glorify God. To assist all in realizing that nothing lasting will happen apart from prayer. To facilitate prayer permeating every ministry of the church. To provide avenues and training in praying for the world and each other. To make prayer the work of the whole church body.

Opportunities for Prayer

At Trinity's worship services: During Trinity's services there is a guided, silent prayer time, as well as a congregational prayer and reciting of the Lord's Prayer. After the services there are Prayer Ushers available. These men and women of prayer are available at the front of the worship center to pray with you about issues of faith, salvation or everyday living.

Contemplative Prayer: "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10)  Contemplative prayer includes becoming still in body, mind and emotion for the purpose of knowing an intimate encounter with God. It is an opportunity to slow down, dismiss distractions, and focus on God.The time includes a short scripture passage followed by guided silence with intent to increase awareness of the presence of God. An hour of guided contemplative prayer is held on Mondays and Saturdays in Trinity's Prayer Room - check the calendar for times.
