HELLO!
Thank you for visiting us online. Once you’ve checked us out here we
hope you will decide to visit us in person. We know that walking into a new church
can be daunting. We want you to know that you are welcome, and we think that you
will find Trinity to be a warm and inviting place. We hope this information
will help answer some of the questions you might have about visiting us. Please be sure to click on the links to the left for more information about Trinity.
How do I get to Trinity?
We are located one and half miles up Huffman Road from the New Seward Highway, at the corner of Huffman and Lorraine. (Click here for a map). When you arrive, please note that there are two parking lot entrances off of Lorraine Street. The first driveway leads to accessible parking and special parking for our first-time visitors near the main entrance door. Parking for parents of small children is available near the “Nursery” entrance at the second driveway. Watch for our friendly greeters at all main doors, who will greet you and are available to assist, if necessary, as you enter.
Do I have to dress a certain way?
Well, first of all, this is Alaska – so dress for the weather! You will find people dressed in a variety of ways at Trinity – some wearing their “Sunday best”, others dressed very casually, and everything in between. We welcome all.
When are the worship services?
We have two worship services on Sunday…
At 10:30am we hold a blended contemporary/traditional service in our Worship Center that lasts about an hour. Music consists of a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary songs, with vocals, drums, guitars, trombones, piano, trumpets, and more, provided by our own talented musicians, and joined by congregational singing. A service will usually include a children’s message, (before the children are dismissed to “Kid’s Church”); a sermon introduction and scripture; silent prayer; a sermon, (not more than 30 minutes); congregational prayer; an offering and a blessing, with music interspersed throughout.
At 7:07pm we hold a contemporary style worship geared toward young adults – (though all are welcome!) This is a non-traditional service, in the relaxed atmosphere of our Lobby, with music and discussion.
Free nursery care (ages 0-3 ½ years) is available for both services.
What is a 7 Minute Party?
After the 10:30am service we hold a 7 Minute Party just for you – our guests! Please look for the 7 Minute Party banner in the lobby, where we would like to meet you personally. Please know that our goal is for you to be completely comfortable at Trinity. We won’t single you out by asking you to stand up, speak up, or pay up. Please let us know you were here by filling out the yellow card found in the bulletin, and then come talk with us after the service at the 7 Minute Party!
